Senior Associate

With over seven years of executive search experience Amy Rueda is a highly valued contributor to the Burgess Leighton team. The span of her work has comprised numerous searches for Fortune 10 technology and industrial companies, public and private universities and colleges, community colleges, arts institutions, academic and community medical centers, and several national non-profit organizations.

Amy’s experience runs broadly across multiple industries and functional areas, including CEO/President, CFO, Finance, Operations and several searches at the Director level as well.

Prior to joining with Burgess Leighton, Amy served as the Associate Director for Heidrick & Struggles in the firm’s Irvine, California, office, where she was responsible for the hiring, training and management of Associates while maintaining a full portfolio of clients. Prior to Heidrick & Struggles she worked as an Associate for a premier national retained search firm specializing in healthcare and higher education. Amy began her career in the public sector, serving as a political consultant for the California State Legislature for nearly four years.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from California State University at Fullerton. She remains active in community organizations, such as the Latino Business Student Association and Inner-City Arts.
